The Ferengi looked the Klingon Ambassador over before speaking. He was surprised that she expressed an interest in speaking to him. Klingons were not known to take a great deal of interest in his own race. Something to do with a lack of honor.
"Thank you, Madam Ambassador," replied Rilg. "I am finding the station to be quite a place. And that was even before my first session with the Diplomatic Council. I believe that this group will not be short on excitement."
Valtris smiled in response. "That would definteily be an understatement."
"How long have you been with the Council?"
"I have been on since shortly after the Council was founded. In fact, except for Ambassador Ra'aj, I am the longest serving member."
"Impressive," was his simple reply. He looked her over to try and figure out why she was taking such an interest in a conversation with him.
"You are not like most Ferengi," said Valtris, who was never one to hold back.
Rilg tried not to take offense at her comments. Some people believed that Ferengi were all just out for latinum and nothing else. Like most races there were variations. He nodded in response. "I definitely do not fit what most people would consider the 'traditional' Ferengi, Madam Ambassador. That is not
to say that I don't have an interest in things of value."
Valtris nodded. "You also seem to be much more interested in the politics of Council discussion than I would have expected. Ferengi tend to get involved in galactic politics only for their own needs."
