>"Thank you, Dr. What's her prognosis? General A'amon is scheduled to
>arrive in the next few days. Are there any procautions that should be
>taken, with respect to the Ambassador?"
"Physically, she appears to be well. All her physiological systems are
functioning within norms without any mechanical assistance. Mentally and
psychologically, it's hard to say. She had quite of bit of tissue
extracted, especially in areas affecting memory. Motor and neural control,
again, hard to say. While we've mapped the brain, we don't really know that
much about it. If she's able to access the River telepathically, there's a
chance she may be able to recover at least some of her memories through the
Venasian population. But we won't know for sure until she wakes up."
"I see.", he said disappointed at the news. He was hoping for more, but understood.
"What about the General?"
"If General A'amon doesn't know she's here, he will the moment he sets foot
on the station because he or one of his staff will recognize her pheromone
signature. They may mistake it for residual left from her tenure here, but
as precaution I would keep a guard on her. She's potentially someone who
could undermine his regime, and therefore a target. I'll be monitoring her
medical condition and keeping her telepathic access to a minimum. In the
meantime, I would play dumb about her presence here."
"That I an do. Would keeping her in an isolation room with the ventilation system
separated from the rest of the station help? We could attempt to scrub the rest of
the air in the station before he comes. If possible, it may help with fooling them
into believing that the pheromone signature is residual, rather than fresh."
