"Indeed we are," He acknowledged with slight bow of his head. He hadn't heard the
mispeak. That was the best way to play it. (OOC: If, in fact, it really happened?)
"And, of course, looking forward to it, Admiral. When shall you be ready to come
across, sir?"

(OOC: It did happen ... ;)!)

"I can come across immediately if you folks are ready for me, Captain," replied the
Admiral. He noticed that Colin had diplomatically avoided pointing out his error.
It was going to be interesting getting to know this one.

"We are indeed, Admiral." Colin nodded to his Ops manager and then stood. "I'll meet
you personally, sir," he said to the admiral.

(I assume that's to your liking?)

And then, to the bridge, "Mr. Black, you have the con."

(eh?)

A moment later, Colin was in the transporter room.

"Ahh, Commander WElls," he greeted her, with an unusually warm smile. Though the
engineer had not yet shown her vulnerabilities to his gentlemanly charm, she surely
would in time. "So good to see you."

"NO doubt," she said, half under her breath.

"You're ready to disassemble and then reassemble the good admiral, I trust?"

"Just waiting for the starbase to give me control of the carrier wave," she assured
him.

(eh, GM?)
