Daphne nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. Perhaps while they are
stewing we can check the databases to see if we can find any references
to their master race."
Tr'Lawsh entered the information into the computer to see what came up.
The computer processed the request, but came up empty. There was nothing, yet, in the Starfleet database.
Daphne turned to Tr'Lawsh with a questioning look on her face. While there was always a chance that the database would not have a great deal of information about a race in it, there should at least be some off hand references, particularly to a race as advanced as this. "What about the felinids themselves? There should be something on them since we have been studying them for some time."

{OOC: I will assume that the computer will be queried.}
The computer processed the request. Unfortunately, the information will require a high clearence than that of the Caitian Planetary Defence Force Captain. Fortunately, Commander Daphne Ares did have the required authorization.
The information was as follows:
***** Ammended Report- Felinid Species- #F85631978 *****
Base Information
Height: 2.0 to 2.4 meters tall (6.5' - 7.8')
Weight: 170 to 200 kg (375lbs - 450lbs)
Exterior: fur over skin
Bi-Pedal Felinoid with 4 appendages- two legs and two arms.
Narrative
This species is very similar to that of Caitians, and to the unaided eye, they would appear to be Caitians just ever so slightly shorter. Genetically speaking they are classified as Caitians, but their gene base appears to be broader. Engineered, if you will. It is our estimation, based on known genetic alteration techniques and of the Caitian genome, that this genetic difference was engineered not naturally occuring.
Estimating their social structure is at best an educated guess, as we have not been able to observe them in conditions other than captivity. However, their use of battle tactics has proven to be quite revealing. The Felinids use pack tactics in their attacks, almost exclusively. This lack of complexity suggests that their social structures are also somewhat pack like. A leader emerging after violent succession rites. This is not to say that these beings are unintelligent. They have a keen intelliect, as we have found from interviews of prisioners and analysis of recordings of their intership communications. It is highly likely that they coexist with another race, or races, that meet certain needs so that they may devote their lifes to the art of warfare.
Their fighting ability is rated as high. While their tactics lack real sophistication, they have been very successful. This level of success, with their given lack of tactical innovation, indicates that their skill and determination more than compensate for their short comings.
