A few moments later, the Captain's combadge chirped.
"Bridge to Captain. Sir, the starbase has sent over the Admiral's things. We can make way at your command.", called the watch officer- LCMR Black.
"Thank you, Mr. Black. Please lay in a course for Spacedock, warp factor six."
(eh?)
The tour was brief and, as Colin knew beforehand, the crew had put a bit of spit and polish on things so that the Centurion looked immaculate and trim.
Jackson had to admit that he was impressed with the ship and its crew. She was small, but the crew had made her quite impressive. "I have to admit that she is a beauty, Captain. You have a great ship and a talented crew."
(Colin?)
Presently, they made their way to Deck 3, and to sickbay. "And may I present my very dear friend, Father Dr. - or Dr. Father, if you prefer - John Finnegan, a right good ship's surgeon and a Franciscan priest. He pulls double duty as our ship's surgeon and chaplain."
The good Father/Dr. bore the introduction while finishing his inspection of a piece of equipment. He wore the starfleet uniform, but his footwear were the traditional leather sandals of his Franciscan order.
The Admiral extended a hand to shake. It was not often that one met a preacher in the service of Starfleet. The fact that Finnegan was both a priest and a doctor was impressive considering the amount of education it required. It said a lot for the man's intelligence and dedication to serving the people. "It is a pleasure to meet you. Should I call you Doctor or Father?" he asked with honest and friendly curiosity.
(John?)
