ooc: I sort of cut/pasted a couple together.
She proceeded, then, to introduce herself to Tremea Dolari Far Haryail. Ambassador, I am Candance Bedru, Star Fleet's representative and administrator for Dultar."
Ambassador Haryail regarded Bedru with her odd, gold-flecked eyes. "Gentle
tides, Representative Bedru," she replied, tilting her head in the
traditional greeting, "I am Dolari Far Haryail, T'remea. Is that the
appropriate title I should address you by?"
"Formally, 'Admiral' would my title," Bedru replied lightly. "Would you prefer
'T'remea' or 'Ambassador?'
"Either will suffice. They mean the same thing in our languages," Dolari answered.
"Welcome to Earth. I hope your journey here was without incident."
"It was enjoyable. The Starfleet captain you sent to escort was quite gracious, and its crew provided us with a pleasing welcome to the Federation."
The Council was called to order at that point.

Bedru had found a seat, but she did not plan to say much at this meeting. Her
purpose was to observe and begin to formulate her own opinions about the
members of the Council.
So far, it was proving to be very interesting.
Dolari rose, her lovely gold-flecked eyes at odds with the ominious Borg implants on her face. "Honored Council representatives, gentle tides. I am Dolari Far Haryail, T'remea and representative of the Venasian people. Please forgive the hasty introduction, but it seems there are more pressing issues at stake." She turned to Ambassador Damesh. "It is unfortunate that Professor Dulath's duties prevent him from addressing our concerns in person. Perhaps if he is unable to attend the Council, he would not object to a visit by one of our own representatives at his university? I am sure any concerns may be addressed there without much disruption to his schedule."
