"Well she hasn't kicked me out of her office yet..." he managed a meager smile, "Understood Doctor."
Mary nodded. "David, you know where to find me. I will be checking in with the Counselor to make sure everything is going all right with you," she said as she left the room.
"I believe we can get you out and on your feet, David."
David moved to the edge of the bed and stood-a little shaky but okay. "Lead on..."
Joanna was not quite sure how to take David's newfound activity. It was not reflective of his depressed state and could prove to be dangerous to him if he was in denial about it. It was also possible that he was doing better, but she would get a better idea of it only by talking with him.
"I am ready to go when you are, Captain," she replied with a smile. "Since it is your quarters we are heading to, you should lead the way."
