David smiled-something had clicked in him when he passed out. Things seemed to make sense now...as they walked, "It all makes sense Joanna, er-Doctor. VanDerLoo will get his when the time is right and through legal means. I need to focus on getting back into my work."
Joanna could sense that David was not deceiving her with his new found stability, at least not any more than he could be deceiving himself. He truly believed that the was doing better. Her telepathic senses made that clear. She was still concerned, but less than she was before.
She nodded to respond. "It is important to understand that, David. Vengence would only cause more problems for you. Speaking of work, how do you feel about getting back to it?" she was truly interested in his response to her question. His reaction, both emotionally and in statement, would help her feel how he was really doing.
