Serana left directions with the nurses for Celana's care as she came out of her coma; until then, there was little Serana could do. She made a perfunctory tour of Sickbay, taking quick stock of what the situation seemed to be. Later, when she had more time, she would look at the roster of patients, inventories, and schedule in more detail. she avoided Dr. Brennan's office for the time being; taking over another doctor's office was in some ways breaching an unspoken code. For the meantime, she worked from the main hub of Sickbay.

"Computer," she said. The computer beeped back readily. "Log in the official record that I have filled the position of Chief Medical Officer of Sickbay 00412, Spacedock, today at 1430 hours. Security code alpha-gamma-4-2-6-omega." The computer beeped again in acknowledgement. "Send copies to Admiral Renaud for verifying signatures and security codes. After verification, send copies to Starfleet Headquarters, Spacedock OPs, and Starfleet Medical."

After that was done, Serana then recorded a brief message to Admiral Renaud. It basically said:

Admiral Renaud
I have accepted your offer to take over the position of Chief Medical Officer of Spacedock until Dr. Brennan is able to return to his position. Documents requiring your verification will be sent to you shortly.

Serana D'amondra, Cmdr

p.s. If any captain or admiral tries to pull rank on me in this Sickbay, they'll find themselves taken off the active duty roster. Just a fair warning.

After that business was finished, Serana went into Admiral Garibaldi's room.

"Good afternoon, Markus," she greeted. "How are we today?" She looked at his chart and then his vitals.

(response)
