Tr'Lawsh eyed Daphne.  This sounded more than suspicious, and Tr'Lawsh
wasn't sure how to respond without offending the non-com.

Daphne had listened to everything said so far.  She was feeling a great deal of pity for the noncom.  His people were in a tough situation, but what they were doing is not going to help. They were never going to gain their freedom if they don't stand up for themselves.
 
"Perhaps he can become a rallying point for your people.  He does not have to die.  He could share information with us, and we might be able to help your people" said Daphne, responding as the good cop.
