"How would that help?" asked the Caitian. She sniffed
silently,trying
to get a whiff of his scent and perhaps pick up on his emotions. His scent was giving a clear picture of his feelings. As unsure as they were about the motives of the felinid, he was just as suspicious of them. He was under lots of stress, even though it wasn't detectable to the naked eye the scent he was giving off was unmistakable. Perhaps it was worth a try, or perhaps not... Daphne looked toward Tr'Lawsh knowing her own sense were not going to give her the same abilities to understand the felinid as her. It was up to the Caitian to make the call. Tr'Lawsh studied him, knew he was reading her and Daphne the same way. She didn't sense falsehood in him; that nervous scent was detectable a mile away. The Caitian regarded the felinid for a long moment. "It will be arrrranged," she said. Daphne responded with a nod. She had wanted to try to talk with the general, but had doubts about her abilities to understand the felinid's intentions. She felt better having her instincts confirmed by Tr'Lawsh. "May we have your name and refer to you when we speak to the general?" (felinid?)
