>Jared nodded as he waited for the conversation to continue.

>"I think Admiral Lasiter is a man who dives deeper into his work than others when tough times come, even >so personal. I doubt he has grieved for his son yet."

>Jared nodded with a concerned look on his face.  He had to admit that Sam was like that, but he would have >hoped his friend would have been able to find time to mourn.  Starfleet was a huge organization with him at >his head, but he was surrounded by a number of talented people.  This Renaud was definitely one of them. >Sam could have trusted them to take over while he took that time.  "Has anyone confronted him about it.  I >have found that Sam likes to put up the strong front, but if someone tells him to take the time he needs, he >will."

"Well we've had our differences in the past. I'd like to think I've earned his trust but somedays I wonder. He's difficult to figure out sometimes. Probably the only people who can make him do anything is our CMO or Admiral t'Llwheiir."

"I know that I do not know Admiral t'Llwheiir all that well. Who is your CMO?"

(Renaud?)

Jared shook his head as he did not know that name.  "I can try and talk to him about it.  I know that he is facing some health problems and holding back on the grieving process could irritate them."

(renaud?)
