Just then, the buzzer to her office door chimed. "Come in," she responded.
The doors shushed open to reveal Audra Firehwak. She was wearing plain clothes and enjoying a break from her uniform. She felt like she had been living in it over the past few days as the station's personnel dealt with the after effects of the explosion. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a light green sweater.
Audra stepped into the office and noticed that Joanna was still dressed in her uniform. "Rough day?"
Joanna shook her head. "Not really," she responded. "It was actually a nice one. Why do you ask?"
"Well, I stopped by your quarters to meet you for dinner like we planned and you weren't there."
"Computer, what time is it?"
"The time is 1830 hours."
Joanna glanced toward her visitor. "I am so sorry. I got into my work. I had no idea that it was this late. Do you mind if we just stop by my quarters so I can change."
Audra laughed. "Of course. This dinner is supposed to be a chance for us to unwind with no pressures. You just have to promise that you are not going to take all evening getting ready."
Joanna stood up and started neatening up the PADDs that had piled up on the coffee table. "I think that is a problem I can keep. I just want to be in something a little less formal than a uniform."
"I can definitley understand that," replied Audra. "Let's get going. We have reservation for 1900."
(OOC: I am assuming you meant 7PM rather than AM)
the Joanna nodded her head. "It will just take a moment," she said as she joined her new friend near the door.
The good news for the pair was that she was right. It took them only a few moments to reach her quarters, where she quickly changed into a skirt, which would have reminded any human of a gypsy and a loose fitting white blouse. She just affixed her comm badge to her blouse as she stepped from her bedroom to the sitting area on her quarters. "Tada!"
