A bit of blush colored Joanna's cheaks.  "All right.  It  was a bit more
than that.  I had lunch with a gentleman and had the  most wonderful time."

"Hmmmm, interesting," said Audra as she eyed  her eating  companion.  "Is it
anyone I know."

"You  probably know him.  I  understand that he has been aboard the station
for some time.  His name  is David Boulay and he works out of the  Judge
Advocate General's office."

"I don't know him well, but I  understand that he is pretty well  respected.
I never took you for the lawyer type."

Joanna smiled in embarrassment.  "Well, I wasn't on  the prowl for a lawyer.
We just sort of ran into each  other."

"How did you two meet?"

This was the part that Joanna had  been hoping to avoid.  "Well, he came to
me about one of his  assignments for some advice.  After working together
for a while, he  asked me for lunch, and I accepted."

There was more to the story than  Joanna was saying.  Audra could only
assume that she was holding back  because the assignment was probably a
little more personnel than Joanna could  talk about.  She respected the need
for confidentiality and continued the  conversation.  "So, tell me about
lunch.  I gather you had a good  time.  Where did you go?"

"We actually came here for lunch.  It was great.  He had never had Bajoran
food, so I offered to introduce him to it.  He really seem to enjoy it."

"Sounds good to me.  How about as company?  Did you enjoy the conversation?"

"It was great.  We talked so comfortably with each other.  I felt like I had
known him for ages."

"Sounds like a great start.  Do you guys have plans to get together again?"

(Joanna?)
