"Are you stationside for a while?" asked the Ops Manager.
"Sure am," he said with a wide smile. Perhaps playing into the undertone from earlier, or perhaps he meant something by it. Only time would tell... For the Betazoid, she could catch a little bit from him. He did like the Ops Manager. Audra felt a smile spread across her lips as a response. She also felt her cheeks warm with embarrassment. She was not quite sure what to say. Joanna also smiled, but it was a different kind. It was the kind that said I know something that should be a secret. "Hopefully, that means we will get a chance to see each other again," she said since no one else was responding. "I have also become friendly with Captain Boulay. Perhaps the four of us could get together sometime." "We surely can." Audra smiled. It was definitely something that she would have
liked. She was also glad to see that Joanna had backed off a little bit on
the conversation. Audra did not want to scare Joe off.
She glanced at her chrono and saw how late it was. She could not
believe that it was already 2300 hours. "Wow! It looks like it is
getting late. I have a shift starting tomorrow at 0600 hours. I
should think about hitting the hay."
