{I will endeavor to do so, but do take in consideration that my first day on
duty there was an explosion of point five thirtyseconds megajoules and the
reconstruction thereof in the past two weeks, with the Admiral wanting
constantupdates and illogical order of repair for visiting dignitaries. Things
will be as they should shortly, Lieutenant, so bear with what seems illogical
and short tempers,} he answered.

Celine felt a bit of sadness. It was clear that the Chief had faced alot of
challenges since his arrival, but he had responded by taking all on the
equivalent of whatever Horta have for shoulders. She decided not remind him
that she was actually a Lieutenant Commander. "Sir, I am sure that therest of
the department is willing to help you in whatever way they can. I know that I
am. What has happened has been a shock for everyone. Before coming here, I was
stationed on a ship near the Romulan Neutral Zone, and it was still pretty
shocking for us."

{Well, let us get through this crisis before we start planning for the next.}
he said as he shambled down the ramp next to his floater.
Waldoes moved and re-organized padds in stacks according to priorities.
{According to my
calculations, work will be completed in 6 standard days by 1200 hours at this
rate. I have made arrangements for a large segment of time used in a
non-productive manner called a 'party' for the crew at the Ferengi owned tavern
on the Promenade at my expense. Afterwards I would be more than adequately
prepared to discuss your views on training theory. Until then, we have
schedules to meet.}
With that he rotated around and went back to a pile of parts and extracted
another piece, laid it on the table climbed his ramp and began disassembling it.
Celine couldn't help but smile as she watched her new boss move away. He had
actually started plans for a celebratory party for when the repairs were
complete. He wasn't necessarily the toughy he pretended to be. She turnd back
to her work station to bring up her next project and set to work.
OOC, dont be ofended by Shevab, I am trying to play him as i have read other
Hortas in the the trek novels, they have no real concept of human tact or some
emotions, and some tend to be quite computer like and even more infuriating
than dealing w a Vulcan, lol..
<ooc: I will keep that in mind. It sounds like Celine, Shevab and
Knucklebiter could be a complimentary team as they get to know each other.>
