(OOC: The part of Kay Burnette is played by Marcia Cross - Desperate Housewives - which I've never seen.
Ael t'Khllrennz is played by Kate Beckinsale)
Kay Burnette was a bit miffed at the moment. She'd never been late to anything in her life.
And yet, it looked as if she were about to be late for Matt's wedding.
She had nothing against the new doc at Spacedock's sickbay. Dr. D'Amondra was clearly very competent, and very nice. But her style was more... formal than Matt's.
Kay would get used to it.
Eventually.
She'd nearly considered coming straight from sickbay to the wedding, but good as she might look in scrubs, they simply were not acceptable.
So she'd stopped by her quarters, briefly, wriggled into a flattering green dress that very much set off her flaming red hair and green eyes, and then dashed in that short skirt for the transporter. She had arrived just as the Rihannsu Ambassador had.
And she was suddenly jealous.
Though Kay was certainly far from being unattractive, she felt short and plain next to the ambassador.
Towering over her by nearly a decimeter, the ambassador was lithe and angular, and looking much hotter than Kay would have thought a Romulan could have looked in her black suit with the short skirt.
"You're both headed to the same place," the transporter tech told them. "Go ahead and step up onto the platform, ladies."
Moments later they rematerialized planetside, in a place where the smells were equal to the sights. Kay closed her eyes for just a moment to drink it all in.
"Luxurious, isn't it?" Ael asked softly, sounding more friendly than Kay would have imagined. "Borders on decadent. Though I find myself not able to complain at the moment."
