He took his leave of them and moments later he was in Matt's room, being warmly welcomed by his very old friend, and being introduced to the best man. "Admiral Samuel Lassiter, this is Father Patrick Francis O'Malley. We've known each other for about seven hundred years," he said with just enough of a laugh to make it sound like a joke.
Though, in reality, it wasn't.
"Father, this is Admiral Lassiter, Commander in chief of Star Fleet."
"It is an honor, sir," the priest said to him, offering his hand.
