Audra's face
brightened with a smile. "It is my pleasure, Commander." She started
walking a gain, and a moment later they found themselves on a turbolift.
The Ops Manager requested the appropriate deck and turned to face the station's
newest Security Officer. As the car started to hum, she picked up the
conversation once again. "Where were you stationed before being assigned
to Spacedock?"
"I actually just completed my time at Starfleet Academy. Other then
my training assignments, I have no real experience."
Now that he said it, Audra remembered seeing that in his file when he was
assigned. "It sounds like we have a newbie. It is a nice assignment
to have for a first assignment since it is so close to where you received your
training. Are you disappointed at not having been assigned to a
ship?"
Geb shook his head. "Not at all. I was actually hoping to get
an assignment on a planet-side base or in a space station. This is the
perfect assignment for me."
Just then the turbolift car slowed to a halt and the doors parted revealing
the Promenade outside. The restaurant was actually just across the
hall. The pair made their way across to the entrance and Audra approached
the matire d'. "I am Commander Firehawk. I have reservations to have
dinner with Counselor Kirk."
The human looked down. He was dressed as an old style cowboy in
denim, leather chaps, a lasso, and a cowboy hat. After scanning his
console for a moment, he looked back at her. "The Counselor has already
arrived. Would you like me to bring you to her table."
"Actually, there will be a third person joining us," she replied as she
indicated Geb. "Is there enough seats at the table?" Audra had to
fight to repress the devilish grin that had formed on her face.
The maitre d' studied the Brikarian, and his eyes bulged slightly in
surprise. "Er ... of course. He said as he selected two menu
PADDs. "This way please."
The trio made their way over to the table where the maitre d' dropped off
Geb and Audra. "I hope you don't mind, Joanna, but I thought I would bring
a new friend to join us for dinner."
