"Noted, sir but I have to respectfully disagree-please allow me to explain. With all due respect to my predecessor, I have revamped our budget to make more efficient use of our current resources. I have also sent out more safety information and realigned the safety regulations within the department. I believe strongly that reducing redundancy within projects will allow us to have 1 designated Safety personnel for each project rather than 1 covering 2 or 3 projects."
The Terran Ambassador piped up, "If I may, Ambassador Sharez, please clarify for us Admiral. Are you saying that you need to have a safty officer per project or per facility?"
T'Sar would have asked the same of the Admiral, but the Terran Ambassador was a little faster to respond. She was curious to see where this was going.
"If I am allowed to combine some of the duplicated projects and reduce the number of extra facilities we are currently running, Ambassador-I could work with one Safety Officer per Facility. This should also have the added benefit of reducing costs."
Sharez leaned forward. "I believe that my learned colleague from Earth was hoping you might start providing us with the details of the programs you would like to merge, Admiral Renaud."
