Surprise was an understatement for Celine.  She never imagined that Shevab would take that kind of interest in the people who worked for him.   She was impressed.  "They are doing well.  I think children adapt  easier than we adults.  Their curiosity seems to overpower their feelings  of loss."  Celine clearly was fitting in on the station, but was missing  something, or someone, that was left behind at her previous post.
