Chase tied into the visitors network and pulled up basic information about the Klingon Ambassador and her embassy. The Klingons were a forthright people. Unlike some of the other members of the Council, their history was well-known and had a long history of interaction with the Federation. While they had often come quite close to war with each other, the two powers were most likely the closest of allies among the local powers. (OOC: Check out http://www.starbase1.org/klingons.htmfor more in depth information.)

Valtris herself would probably be considered a bit reserved, at least when considering previous Klingon Ambassadors to the Federation. She was not from a major House, but she and her family had grown influential, particularly after the Dominion War. The rise of General Martok to leader proved the commoners could rise to the heights of power and still do a good job.

She and the Klingons were one of the founding members of the Council. She had also been quite close to Golan Dulath, or at least as close as a Klingon and Cardassian could get. Like many Klingons, she is quick to anger, but that might be more of an act as she works to attain what she thinks is best for her people.

Chase read through the portfolio about the Klingon people and the brief biography of Ambassador Valtris. He was a bit surprised to hear that the Klingons had faced domination at the hands of someone else in their early history. He took notes as he went to prepare for some questions he wanted to ask when he met with the Ambassador.

He left to make his appointment with Jaime and Sam.

(everyone ready?)

Ben
