"Thank you, Admiral.  I am honored to be allowed to join the meeting," replied the Tac Officer as she glanced around the room.  She was clearly one of the lowest ranking officers there.  "I hope I will have something to offer the briefing."

t'Llhweiir activated a switch on her padd.  It began emitting a subsonic random
series of tones designed to play havoc with listening devices.  She was sure
that the security staff would have swept the room, but she was taking no
chances.

Ariel was not sure that they should be proud of the fact that they completed a mission with no one getting killed, but that did make it clear how tentative things involved in this situation are.
