The Aqualish representative nodded her head. "Of course, Ambassador," she
replied. "This is James Watson, the ambassador from the Federation. We
have also added a representative from the Ferengi Alliance. He is Grand
Proxy Rilg," she continued as she indicated the smallest member of the
Council.

General A'amon watched the introductions quietly, an almost guarded air
about him. It was amazing sometimes how Venasians could shift the mood
without visibly moving. Something about pheromone changes, it seemed. It
also seemed that he was perfectly aware that Lasiter was scrutinizing him
and the T'remea... and he didn't do anything to hide his awareness.
Instead, he introduced himself to Rilg. "Gentle tides Ambassador Rilg," he
said with a crisp tilt of his head, "I am pleased to finally make the
acquaintance of the Ferengi Nation."

Rilg extended a hand to the Admiral. "Thank you, Admiral. It is a pleasure
to meet you as well. It is good to see how close our two peoples have come
in the past few decades."

Lasiter took the offered hand and shook it. "And may it continue for many
more, Grand Proxy."

T'Kresh continued with the introductions as the General and Grand Proxy
spoke. "I know that you have met our other new members, Melora Damesh.
You knew her as the Diplomatic Aide to Golan Dulath when he was the
representative from the Cardassian Union. He has since been reassigned,
and she has been appointed as his replacement."

(Tremea?)

Melora Damesh bowed her head. "Gentle tides, Madam Tremea," she replied
with surprising diplomacy. "It is a pleasure to see you again. I am glad
that rumors that you had left the station for good were exaggerated." The
way the comment was said left interpretation of how much she knew open.

Valtris had to admit that Melora was being the most polite she had ever
seen. She had to wonder what she was hoping to get from the other woman.
At the same time, she also noticed that the Cardassian was doing her little
bit to jab a needle in like she always did. It would be interesting to see
how the Venasians reacted to the be'mIgh.

Lasiter returned his attention to the Venasians. He was wondering just what
A'amon's reason for bringing the clone to Spacedock was. Was it to test the
Federation? He had to suspect that it was Starfleet that rescued the real
Celana D'amondra. Or was it the need to gloat of their technical superiority,
or to further drill into the minds of the masses back home that the T'remea was
backing the government- a legitamizing move on A'amon's part. What was certain
was that the General had sand.... {OOC: a phrase from a Turner Network
Television western- aka gumption, stones, etc...}

{anyone else???}
