Just then he realized the Ramesar were due to arrive, "Plantoc-I am afraid I
will have to bow out of the Cardassia trip. I should be here for the Ramesar
arrival."
The Aqualish representative eyed the human for just a moment with disgust.
"My apologies Mr. Watson. I assumed that you followed your word rather than
what was most exciting when it came to your work. Your absence from this
group will be a serious problem since Golan Dulath's plea for help came
through your office. It is nice to see that you value the safety of your
fellow diplomats so highly."
Watson immediately regretted what he had said, "Let me apologize....Admiral
Bedru can handle the Ramesar if she stays-this is what I meant to say. Let
me go pack my bags and I'll meet you at the Docking Pad."
Valtris let loose a hearty laugh and smacked Watson on the back. It was a
friendly tap, even if it was a hard one. "Good to see that you have come to
your sense, Ambassador. We would not want to think that you are a coward
opting for easy service when a friend is in need."
