Hilda shrugged, baffled. "Again, I'm just a nurse.  Not an expert in anything
like genetic engineering or evolution.  I'm not going to take her out of cryo,
especially with this anatomy. We'll have to bring in cryo specialists, who can
assess the situation better.  Who knows if she's stable, what kind of pathogens
she may be carrying, or even why she was put in this unit in the first place?
I would suggest making a call to Starfleet  Medical."

"That is probably for the best.  I can contact Starfleet Medical once we
offload.  I would be interested in being part of the research team.  I am a
xenobiologist.  I wonder why she was being held at the facility.  The
definitely did not seem to be the type of people involved in medical research."

"Maybe they weren't," Hilda pointed out, "Maybe they were just transporting
her, or maybe they kidnapped her like they did the scientists.   Ransom or
trying to sell her, maybe.  If you... know of anyone who happens to maybe have
dealings with the black market maybe they would have some information too."

Gabe felt a chill run down his spine, but repressed the shivers that wanted to
break out. The idea of anyone being pulled into the slave trade was
horrifying, but it was the reality of the universe. "You may be right. I hate
to think that they are holding her for something other than medical reasons."

Gabe realized that they were no longer moving. "We should probably see if
everyone is disembarking."
