As the rest of the team disembarked and headed to their usual stations
and quarters, Aravis Holt decided to check in on the newest member of
the team from Io. Gabe had not come out from the back end of the
runabout and was probably already pretty deep into the research on the
person they had found in cryogenics. Aravis wanted to make sure that he
remembered to get off the ship. She cleared her throught to get his
attention.
Gabe had been so intent on the research he was working on that he did
not even hear the door open. He looked up and nodded his head.
"Commander."
"We're home," she said. "Did you need help with setting up arrangements
for quarters?" she asked uncharacteristically.
Gabe smiled. He appreciated the offer. He was about to accept when her
comm badge beeped with a message from Commander K'Tael
Aravis took the message. Once it was over, she turned back to Gabe.
"Why don't you come along with me to the briefing. I am sure the
Admiral and Commander would appreciate your input on things. It might
help answer some questions.
The scientist nodded his head as his smile broadened. He felt like a
part of the team since he was being invited to participate in the
debriefing.
The two officers quickly departed as the cryo chamber was shipped to
Sickbay.
