Elsewhere on Embassy Row....

Golan Dulath made his way down the familiar hallway that he had once called home.  Little had changed since he had departed.  It brought back fond memories ... and pleasure to know that he had been able to come back here.

As he was passing the Cardassian embassy he noticed that Melora Damesh was just leaving.  He quickly walked passed so he would not have to run into her.  She was not the diplomat he was hoping to talk to.

A few doors down, he came across the Aqualish embassy and entered.  He made his way to the reception desk.  Before he was able to say anything, the woman at the desk responded.  "She is expecting you, Professor.  Please go right in."

He nodded and turned toward the door to her office and went in.  The Plantoc was sitting at her desk reading some briefing reports in order to get caught up on things that had happened while she was away.  She looked up and smiled.  She stood up and made her way over to him.  "It is a pleasure to get a chance to speak with you, Golan.  I am glad that you stopped by."

Golan had come to consider T'Kresh one of his closest friends while he was serving his people on the station.  It was good to see that the ties were still there.  "Thank you for seeing me at this late hour.  I was hoping that I could talk to you about a few things."

T'Kresh turned and extended a hand to indicate that they could move their discussion to the seating area that was set up along the side of the room.  "Of course.  What can I do for you?"

He moved toward the sofa and sat down.  He looked at her awkwardly, not sure whether his pride was going to allow him to ask this.  "As you know, my recent time on Cardassia was not easy."

She nodded without saying anything.

"Well, I was hoping that your government would be willing to offer me sanctuary.  I know that the history of our two peoples..."

T'Kresh raised her hands to stop him where he was.  She smiled.  "Do not worry about that, Golan.  In fact, I have already talked with my government.  They are willing to offer you full sanctuary on the homeworld."

Golan smiled.  He knew that he could depend on her.

She made her way over to the replicator.  "Perhaps, we should celebrate with some dinner.  How does that sound?"

He nodded, and the two of them settled into preparing and enjoying a wonderful meal.
