this is an example from my script and i hope this will help you:
/usr/bin/python -u /usr/bin/spacewalk-repo-sync --channel
centos-5-i386-base --url ftp://tc-spacewalk.timocom.net/CentOS/5/os/i386/
--type yum --label base
