Andy,

Since I don't have the Scientific Linux to compare, I can only give you
suggestions - whether they are wrong or right - its upto you to find out.

Its not clear if you get this message when you push updates or if you trying to
join the server to spacewalk.

1) Did system join to spacewalk server or you have this issue when you join?
2) What channel is it bind to if it joined?

Last but not least,

Check systemid file in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/

Compare systemid against rhel6.2 or other known working RHEL 6.2 like system,
also compare outputs of lsb_release on two systems.

Regards
ilya

I believe you're right. The trick is, where exactly am I supposed to correct
that?

Thanks!

Andy

If I'm not mistaken, the release should be 6 and not 6.2

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] Error doing updates with Scientific Linux clients

I've gone around and around on this one.

Trying to do updates to 1.7 server (postgres) with Scientific Linux clients and
I'm constantly encountering:

"Error Message:
Your account does not have access to any channels matching (release='6.2',
arch='x86_64-redhat-linux') Error Class Code: 19 Error Class Info: Architecture
and OS version combination is not supported.
Explanation:
An error has occurred while processing your request. If this problem
persists please enter a bug report at bugzilla.redhat.com.
If you choose to submit the bug report, please be sure to include
details of what you were trying to do when this error occurred and
details on how to reproduce this problem.
"

Is there a known fix for this? Do I have a configuration problem?

Andy
