hi list,

as i understand in the redhat docs, it is possible to combine multiple
activation keys, so the packages, software channels and config channels of each
key get combined

https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.2/html/Reference_Guide/s2-sm-systems-activation-keys.html#s3-sm-system-keys-multiple

the idea is to have a "basic OS setup" key and others that add to it, like
"webserver" or "database" ...

basically it should look like that:
key1: has default software channels, packages and a config channel
key2: has some additional packages/software channels and a config channel that
overwrites some of the files in the channel above

for this the priority ranking of the config channels is important, so that the
config channel of key2 overwrites key1
however, i dont see how i can control rankings in such a setup? I dont see any
options to give priorities to activation keys.

any ideas, somebody who uses a similar setup?
