I should add that I just restarted all Spacewalk services and a subsequent
application of channel subscription changes via SSM worked this time.

So the problem is now more of an annoyance than anything else... the "in
progress" message bothers me, and I'd rather not have to bounce Spacewalk just
to make this simple task work...

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] Stuck "In Progress" tasks in System Set Manager

Hello,

I have a relatively new Spacewalk installation, installed a few weeks ago as
version 2.0, and upgraded to 2.1. I used the SSM to perform channel
subscription updates on Tuesday, and these went fine.

I again went to do that for some recently registered systems Yesterday, and the
channel subscription update never happened, and the SSM Status view Tasks Log
shows "Channel Subscription Updates In Progress 3/5/14 4:33:00 PM PST." So the
task appears to be stuck.

I didn't spot anything glaring in the log, but also I am not sure what to look
for.

Someone previously posted about a similar issue on this list for an older
version of Spacewalk, but I did not see any applicable response.

Is there any way to clear the stuck tasks? Is there any way to prevent them
from getting stuck? I'd hate to manually modify channels one system at a time
(which works) as I bring 150+ servers on board.

Thanks!

Michael Guidero
