I finally figured this one out as well.

Last year, when I first started working on this project, I ran into a similar
issue, or at least I thought that I did, but I just couldn't quite remember. I
thought that I posted something to this list, but I just couldn't remember for
sure. I went back and looked through the archives, but just couldn't find that
posting. Its been a year since I initially stood up SW on CentOS. Now I've
moved it to RH, and I'm running into some of the same issues that I had a year
ago.

My foggy memory told me that it was something in the up2date file. I was
thinking that it was because the server needed to be FQDN, but that didn't
resolve the issue. Finally, it, just came to me. The url is http, not https.
As soon as I removed the "s", I was able to access the repository.

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] Unable to login when preforming updates

I just installed the latest version of SW on a newly installed RHEL 6.6
demo/test server. I created a 6 server channel/repository and successfully
synced to RH. I now have nearly 1,600 rpm packages in the repository. So far,
so good.

I successfully registered a RHEL 6.2 client to my SW server,
channel/repository. SW shows that there are over 1200 packages out of date.
Again, so far, so good. I schedule the update, and run rhn_check -vvv from the
client, however, all of the updates fail with errors about unable to login in.

If I issue a yum repolist, I don't see any packages in the repository.

If I issue an "yum list update" command I get the following:

yum list update
Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, security, subscription-manager
Updating certificate-based repositories.
This system is receiving updates from RHN Classic or Red Hat Satellite.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository:
rhel-6-server-rpms. Please verify its path and try again

I must be missing something, but I'm not sure what. Did I not setup the
repository correctly?

Thanks.

Daryl
