Because I nearly had the same issue while I changed the ssl certificates on a server, the problem might be, that your cobbler cannot connect back to your spacewalk server.
What I would test... >From your spacewalk server!!! - run a "curl" against your spacewalk server itself. So if the fqdn is "foo.bar.com" , run "curl https://foo.bar.com/cobbler_api"; Only thing you need to clarify is that you don't get an SSL verification error. In case you have an SSL verification error, you need to add the RHN-ORG-TRUSTED-SSL-CERT file from the .../htdocs/pub directory to the local ssl can store (look at manage of "update-ca-certificates") and run that tool, after you have added the file. - you can additionally check with this script https://github.com/spacewalkproject/spacewalk/blob/9be948a4a01d0dd41baed0c6d0032a2078d336d3/java/scripts/test_cobbler_sw_login.py But do not use "localhost".
