Actually, now that *I* look at it, I see that I hacked in the cd and the hardcoded file names in the compile command line which left in a number of errors that you stepped into when you fixed it up. For example, the file name ws32.lib is supposed to be ws2_32.lib. There was a typo where I set LIBS and then I didn't use $(LIBS) in the command line :-(
Now that you pointed me to the build/configure file, which I didn't know about, I have no more problem about where to put the changes. I'll go ahead and make sure it all builds and send the changes to you to check in. I'll do it after work and you'll have the changes when you wake up :-)
