Sorry Dan -- I'm also +1 on the idea of adding this functionality to sa-learn.
+1 on the idea of --dump dumping seen entries, too.

Possible scenarios:

- dumping and loading to move a Bayes DB from one machine to another.  Even with
the same platform, differing versions of DB_File make this a serious problem
(see http://wiki.spamassassin.org/w/DbDumpAndLoad for the current *hack* to do
this).

- merging 2 bayes DBs -- currently impossible, this way possible with some
hand-waving (like assuming that no message has been learned on both DBs).

- Bayes test scripts.

Note that pretty much *ANY* mature db-based system I've worked with, has
eventually required some way to dump the contents for hacking by the sysadmin in
bizarre and unforeseen ways.  (Clearcase, for example -- I once had to dump the
dbs into their dump format for hands-on hacking.)
