------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-04-10 05:13 ------- I am experiencing the same problem. Spamd eats all CPU and does some reads over and over. Normal scan lasts about 8 seconds on my poor server, but this all eating scan lasts about 840 seconds (that is a big problem, because I have a lock file in .procmailrc, but that timeouts and more spamds are run which causes very heavy load). I am almost 99% sure that the problem is in too big bayes_toks (too big for spamd not for me - it was trained from 300 hams and spams + some autolearned ones (~100 I guess) - file size is 10 MB). Deleting it solves the problem. Restarting spamd (and killing this process) does not work - sooner or later it is stuck again. I guess it is caused by bayes database expiration which is very slow (trying to learn SA from hundreds or thousands mails is slow even if sa-learn is used) - I try to switch that off - better waiting for all mails two times longer than having these problems. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
