Subject: Re: Serious Memory Leak - 3.0

OK - I'll try to be more specific. Keep in mind that I don't fully
understand some things about the Linux OS that you wizards know.

I'm running an application that monitors the system - xosview - if you
are familiar with that - and it shows memory usage with a green bar. And
- I'm running top and looking at the memory usage of the individual tasks.

I have a total of 4 gigs of ram in the server.

Now - according to top - the spamd process is only using about 30 megs
and it stays at that level. So - it doesn't look like spamd is it just
from that figure.

but ....

After running for hals a day the green bar is 3/4 accross - and the top
program says that 3.1 gigs of memory is "active". Then - I restart spamd
and the "active" memory drops to 1.6 gigs immediately and the green bar
in xosview is only half way across.

So - top isn't showing the this memory belongs to spamd - but when I
reset spamd I get the memory back.

If you have any tests you want me to try feel free to ask me and I'll
run it.
