I'd install via CPAN instead of using the RPM, but that's me. I prefer RPMs for most things, but I always use CPAN (or cvs) for SpamAssassin. > Do I need to install procmail before-hand for a site-wide (domain specific) > installation? Osmosis would be nice of course... ;-) Wouldn't it?!! :D How is mail being delivered now - i.e. what mechanism do you have doing the local deliveries for sendmail? Does each "virtual" user also have an associated account in /etc/passwd, or is the POP3/IMAP server authenticating via LDAP? If all the account info is in LDAP and the users don't have /etc/passwd accounts, I don't think procmail will do you any good. You'd have to look into a milter, or something like MailScanner (www.mailscanner.info). > And the whole Milter option... Is this installed with the RPM? Nope. SA doesn't include a milter. There's at least one project out there (spamass-milter) which *uses* SpamAssassin, but SA itself doesn't provide such a beast. There might be others that I'm not aware of, too. I've only used one sendmail milter (not SA related), and that was a long time ago. -- "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work; I want to achieve immortality through not dying." - Woody Allen (1935-) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
