I'd install via CPAN instead of using the RPM, but that's me. I prefer RPMs for most 
things, but I always use CPAN (or cvs) for SpamAssassin.

How is mail being delivered now - i.e. what mechanism do you have doing the local 
deliveries for sendmail? Does each "virtual" user also have an associated account in 
/etc/passwd, or is the POP3/IMAP server authenticating via LDAP? If all the account 
info is in LDAP and the users don't have /etc/passwd accounts, I don't think procmail 
will do you any good. You'd have to look into a milter, or something like MailScanner 
(www.mailscanner.info).

Nope. SA doesn't include a milter. There's at least one project out there 
(spamass-milter) which *uses* SpamAssassin, but SA itself doesn't provide such a 
beast. There might be others that I'm not aware of, too. I've only used one sendmail 
milter (not SA related), and that was a long time ago.
