I vaguely recall that later versions of Outlook don't add a message ID because one of MS's larger customers thought it was some form of privacy/security problem (information leakage; exposing the names of internal hosts beyond the firewall.) Check the sa-dev mailing list archives for details. As for everything Microsoft, there's probably a checkbox on some hidden dialog that will solve this problem but you'll never find it on your own. -- Bob
