I have a setup that works. If you are very interested I can forward
the horrid kludge to you. It uses pop3 for the basic mail maintenance
(although it does not need to) and imap for the spam handling. The
mail server is on a Linux system using typical RedHat tools. Fetchmail
pulls in the email, although that is not required. I built a little
tool to make the imap "mbox" format handling a little cleaner on the
spam folder. So not it's fully automated except for the user copying
or moving the mail to the imap spam folder for training.

I'm not sure how to get SA to "learn" from what she classifies as ham/spam.
She is using outlook express, so getting pristine copies of message to pass
to sa-learn will be difficult at best. [further munged by the fact that SA
is running on my server for which she essentially doesn't have shell
access...]
