It depends on volume.  For us it's quick (less than a day) as we are doing 100k 
messages per day.  You have to have trained bayes with something like 100 spams 
and hams before bayes will start it's markup.  With that in mind you must also 
take into account the number of messages that qualify for entry into bayes 
(which varies from config to config).
 
If your doing less than 1000 messages a day it might take some time.
 
Just start the process and then run sa-learn --dump magic and it will give you 
the count of what has been learned.

If I do not manually train the bayes sytem on SA 2.63, how long does it take
for the auto learn feature to start kicking in and bayes scores to start
showing up?  I am running SA on a server-wide basis hosting multiple
domains, so manually training is somewhat problematic at the moment.
