Would it be possible to standardize the way SARE rules sets are versioned? It would make reporting this in RDJ much simpler.
I suggest we use the "RCS" format for revision numbering on the first line of the file. If you use RCS to maintain your source, this would be automatic. Man rcsintro if unfamiliar. RDJ could then use 'ident' to get the version number. Also, I suggest that all files end with a ##EOF so you are sure nothing was truncated. <<Dan>>
