The only thing I can think of possibly - is that in CPAN
Mail::SpamAssassin will NOT install on this box (I use it on the other
boxen..Is it redundant or necessary?)

I use the RPM - perl-mail-SpamAssassin and spamassassin, then i
usually go in and install Mail::SpamAssassin in cpan..do I need to do
both

have you 'spamassassin--lint -D 'ed as the correct user on the
non-working config to see if it complains about anything?

also worth while turning on both debug options in mailscanner.conf,
stopping MS and running check_mailscanner as the correctg user to see
is
that shows anything.
