Question #0: Does _anything_ render that? Why?

Actually, that looks like 100% valid HTML, so it *should* be rendered by any HTML renderer (browser or embedded) - link and all.


I've done the same thing on web pages to obfuscate mailto: links and email addresses to make them harder to harvest. This may signal the end of that technique's usefulness, though.
