i have installed mimedefang and spamassassin on gentoo 2.4.19. however,
changes i am making to local.cf aren't applied to incoming mail... they are,
however, applied when using the command line.

i have restarted all daemons several times, so i think the problem here is
the invocation of spamassassin by mimedefang.
