I don't know how it would have got into there though so it seems like your version of Outlook isn't paying attention to that file at all (As opposed to treating it differently from one version to the next or different from the way Netscape, Eudora and Outlook Express use .mailboxlist ... ARGG). Complain to Microsoft about their mail client .... if you have a lot of time and energy. Ragnar
