A single spamd instance which processes a single email doesn't seem to have any SMP capabilities. But... since multiple emails are scanned simultaneous (spelling?) due to multiple spawned processes, it covers as much SMP capability as is needed. Unless ofcourse perl is anal and streamlines all perl scripts within a single process, which i dont think happens in any case.
