Your ram is your limiting factor most likely, SA loves ram.  Try increasing
RAM and adjusting your spamd spawn processes with the -m option to keep your
system from running spamd in the swap file.  Search the list for more
information on ram and -m (it's been discussed a lot in the last few
months).
