FWIW: I upgraded my perl from 5.8.0 to 5.8.4 (current stable version). 5.8.0 has lots of issues that got fixed in 5.8.1 and 5.8.2. I got a rid of most of my perl errors when I upgraded.
Be sure to run a perl -V to see what options your perl has set, as the perl install asks a MILLION questions about config. I'm using the Centos (RHEL) 3.1 and Red Hat STILL hasn't upgraded the perl. <<Dan>> -----Original Message----- From: RPICKERING [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2004 2:09 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: SA TIMED OUT > I've been using SA 2.x for some months now, but I decided to upgrade > to the latest cvs version (3.0.0-r10051) today, in order to use SFP. > I'm running > RedHat 9.0, amavisd-new-20030314, and Postfix 1.1.11-11. Further to the above, I've just tried spamassassin -t < sample-nonspam.txt > nonspam.txt and received the following error: Use of uninitialized value in numeric lt (<) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/Mail/SpamAssassin/BayesStore/DBM.pm line 596. I don't know if that narrows down the cause of the problem. Ralph
